
Who We Are ... Jeff Miller, CIG, CIH, CIT
Jeff currently lives in Sedona, AZ having returned from a couple years living in Hawaii. He previously worked for the City of Sedona, and served as Chair of the Sedona Parks and Recreation Commission. He has also lived on the California Central Coast where he worked as a Front Line Interpretive Tour Guide for California State Parks at Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument, better known as Hearst Castle, served as a Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commissioner for the Cambria Community Services District, and as an area representative for the North Coast Advisory Council of San Luis Obispo County.
Jeff holds certification from the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) as a Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG), a Certified Interpretive Host (CIH), and as a Certified Interpretive Trainer (CIT). He is also a Life Member of the association. Jeff has been a session presenter at Regional, National and International Workshops for NAI, served as a member of the National Board of Directors and Regional Board for NAI, and was the Workshop Chair for the NAI 2013 National Workshop in Reno, NV. Jeff has been published in NAI's Legacy magazine, the NAI Region 8 InterprEight newsletter and the CSPRA Wave newsletter.
Jeff's passions include traveling, visiting parks, watching sports and helping to promote NAI, the Certification Program and the profession of interpretation.
Jeff has been involved with the Arizona Guides Association, the Arizona State Parks Foundation, Benefactors of Red Rock State Park, the Sedona Heritage Museum, the Grand Canyon Association, the Western National Parks Association, the California State Park Rangers Association (CSPRA), the California State Parks Foundation (CSPF), the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), the National Park Foundation (NPF) and the Historical Guides Association (HGA).
